Safety

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Rav4 AWD’s standard Downhill Assist Control allows you to creep down safely. The Corsair doesn’t offer Downhill Assist Control.

Both the Rav4 and the Corsair have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, front wheel drive, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, available around view monitors and driver alert monitors.

Warranty

Toyota pays for scheduled maintenance on the Rav4 for 2 years and 25000 miles. Toyota will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Lincoln doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Corsair. (Lincoln offers free maintenance on some Corsair models.)

There are almost 3 times as many Toyota dealers as there are Lincoln dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Rav4’s warranty.

The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid SE/XSE can travel with zero emissions on electricity, only, on a full charge for 52 miles. The Corsair Grand Touring has to start its internal combustion engine after only 27 miles.

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Toyota Rav4 uses regular unleaded gasoline. The Corsair with the 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder engine requires premium for maximum efficiency, which can cost on average about 84.9 cents more per gallon.

The Rav4 has 3.4 gallons more fuel capacity than the Corsair Grand Touring’s standard fuel tank (14.5 vs. 11.1 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Rav4 has a standard locking fuel door and a locking charge port and which locks and unlocks with the power locks, respectively. The Corsair doesn’t have a locking charge port. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank and a locking charge port prevents tampering and damage.

Recommendations

The Toyota Rav4 outsold the Lincoln Corsair by almost 18 to one during 2024.
